Another piece where the large has been worked over from the mini- this is a 36x48” oil I had started a year ago, lost steam and put in the back of the studio. I stumbled across the pic and completed a 6x8” from it a couple weeks ago. I was looking for paintings to strip off of stretcher bars in order to pull some rolled linen canvas over them, and found the discarded version. it was way too overworked and lacked life to my eye- so I put her up on the easel and used the mini as my source material- it allowed me to focus on the large pattern without all of the fluffy detail- I like the way it came out!
