I’ve been putting in some time on this Carrot Island piece and like where it’s going. It’s still in progress, and is getting thicker paint treatment while using a rather limited palette of 4 colors- cad red, cad yellow, ultramarine blue and pthalo green - with titanium white- The goal now is to direct the light towards the birds and create some sparkle throughout. The canvas is 30x40” and will be painted on the edges to wrap around the image. I’m doing a small set of these due to a hiccup in getting my usual silver floaters- they are offline due to COVID at the plant, and no idea when they will begin producing my moulding again!
