Happy New Year!

I cannot tell you how excited I am to flip the page on 2020! What a trying year for everyone I’m sure. I spent the majority of the past year working on commissions and waves in a closed up studio. I did a lot of surfing with the family... a lot of a lot with the family! 😄 And all of he togetherness made me realize what is truly important in my life. Spending time with the boys and wife has been such a blessing, and I look at it as an opportunity future parents probably won’t have. I mean, the WORLD shut down! And we are still crawling along. But what a gift to me. As an older parent, to be able to spend the kind of time we have spent with our kids, it just doesn’t happen in the usual rat race Of work and school and back to work. I realize how fortunate I am to be able to do that. There are many families that didn’t get the opportunity because they have to still leave the house to work, and struggle to pay the bills while trying to stay away from the virus. This is not lost on me, and I won’t forget it...

2021 is a new year and is already bringing change to the house and what I want to achieve this year in my work. I am in the process of reorganizing the studio, as well as figuring out what to do with my web store, and am excited about what I hope to accomplish. At the moment, I am Working to have a dedicated Gallery space at my studio, with work framed and ready for sale or delivery. I am going to begin selling not only my original oils, but also sketches and watercolors too. I will eventually get back into some prints and things, but want to concentrate on originals first.

Here is a glimpse into the madness, out of which, I hope, comes a new flow to my home and work life. I want to do more living at the same time I am still creating art. 2021 will be the great conjunction!!
