Oh how time flies when you've moved a studio and done all the things that go along with that! My blog has been left out in the cold for a while, but I have gotten my Instagram account linked up with my website, so at least you can keep up with me there! I do manage to post on that every week! I want to take the time to tell you a little about what I've been up to.
The studio is basically ready for visitors, minus a little cleaning and organizing left to do inside. I've installed LED track lights, a hanging system for displaying my paintings. The front of the space is my actual workspace, where I can utilize the generous amount of north light that streams through the front windows. I have a wall that is mainly for work in progress, or freshly finished, to the right of my workspace. The left wall and back wall are for my gallery space. They will have a continuously shifting collection of work framed and ready for sale.
Outside I've repainted my planter box from the old space and placed it under my big, beautiful windows, and I've made a sign for the studio that hangs on a bar near the entrance. I have decided to go with a crazy idea I had to name the space Red Arrow Studio, because I envisioned an arrow pointing right to the door! Subtle, huh?! Yep, I ran with it! But you know what? I don't care, because I've never been very subtle myself!
So, look for the arrow, and come on in!!
